How much does it cost?

Your first, introductory session is £25 thereafter the sessions are £50 each.

How long is each counselling session?

Each counselling session lasts for fifty minutes.

Where are you located?

I practice from the comfortable rooms at the Therapy Centre, Church St, in central Reading. It is close to the Oracle Shopping Centre and the Queens Road car parks, and there's also on-street parking on London St. There are good public transport options for those not coming by car.

What times are you available?

I currently see clients Monday to Friday, daytimes and evenings.

What happens in each session?

The first session is an opportunity for both of us to decide if I'm the right counsellor for you, I'll talk through what you can expect, explaining things like our confidentiality agreement. The counselling itself is your time and space to talk about whatever feels important to you. You can read more about my style of counselling here.

How regularly will we meet?

Normally we would meet once a week, and we can continue to meet for as long as you feel is necessary. This might mean only one or two sessions, or a longer commitment - it's really up to you. I will review our time together at regular intervals to ensure that your counselling sessions are meeting your needs.

What happens if I need to cancel my session?

If you cancel your session more than 24 hours beforehand, then there is no charge. If cancelled within 24 hours of the session then I charge a £25 cancelation fee. This is to cover room hire charges etc.

What should I do on arrival?

At the Therapy Centre please ring the doorbell marked 'Therapy' and myself or someone else will let you into the waiting area. Take a seat and I'll be with you when we're ready to begin. Please aim to arrive no more than 5 minutes before our session - this helps ensure the confidentiality of previous clients.
