How much does it cost?

Each session is £50.

How long is each counselling session?

A counselling session lasts for fifty minutes.

Where are you located?

I practice from a comfortable office in the Blade building in Reading town centre, this is behind Reading Central Library, near the Forbury Gardens and Abbey ruins. The building is recognisable by its distinctive white, 'ski jump' roof.

From September 2022 I will be moving to a home office based in Woodley, RG5.

Where is best to park?

There are several convenient parking options nearby. The nearest parking is on Abbey St, with some right outside the building itself. There's also some available nearby on Kings Road or in other town centre car parks.

What times are you available?

I currently see clients Monday to Friday, daytimes and evenings.

What happens in each session?

The first session is an opportunity for both of us to decide if I'm the right counsellor for you, I'll talk through what you can expect, explaining things like our confidentiality agreement. The counselling itself is your time and space to talk about whatever feels important to you. You can read more about my style of counselling here.

How regularly will we meet?

Normally we would meet once a week, and we can continue to meet for as long as you feel is necessary. This might mean only one or two sessions, or a longer commitment - it's really up to you. I will review our time together at regular intervals to ensure that your counselling sessions are meeting your needs.

What should I do on arrival?

On arrival at the Blade, please let the friendly receptionist know you have a meeting with me, and they will let me know so I can come and collect you from the reception area. Please aim to arrive no more than about 5 minutes early for your session as I may be unavailable until then. If you do arrive early there is plenty of comfortable seating in the reception area.

Any other questions?

Please feel free to get in contact if you have any other questions about practicalities, or counselling in general.
